Practitioner ProgrammeThis is an in depth course in the practical use of Focusing. As well as deepening your own practice, it actively supports you in applying Focusing in a setting of your choice (your work, for example), introducing it to new people, and understanding the ideas and principles behind the method. The Practitioner Programme takes one year or longer to complete, and you need to have taken a series of Focusing Skills workshops first in order to start on it. Graduates of the PP receive the BFTA Focusing Practitioner Certificate, which recognises your ability to teach Focusing one to one and offer guided sessions on a professional basis, and that allows you to join BTFA - the British Focusing Teachers Association. PP students include people who wish to teach Focusing themselves, counsellors and therapists and consultants who want to work in a 'focusing oriented' way, and others who simply appreciate the value of Focusing and want to go deeper into it.
